Being a part of and seeing my kids grow, learn, and discover the world, whether it’s new technology, animals, or everyday experiences, is incredible. Seeing life through their eyes brings a sense of wonder and child like perspective that’s just hard to describe. No matter how rough my day has been, nothing compares to coming home and being greeted by my kids with smiles, hugs, and excitement. That instantly makes everything better and remind me what truly matters in life and why I work so hard.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best dad I can be because my kids are my greatest purpose in life, there is simply nothing like the bond we have. I want to be the dad they can always count on, the person they feel safe with, and someone they’re proud to call Dad, something I struggled with growing up. I know I can’t protect them from every hardship, but I can teach them, love them, support them, and be there through as much as of their lives as possible. At the end of the day, everything I do is for them.
How would you use the $25,000?
I would put a portion towards home improvement, then paying down debt to become more financially secure, and of course I would love to take my kids on a once in a lifetime experience somewhere. They truly enjoy getting out and observing nature so being able to show them a different side of the world would be the experience of a lifetime for them.
