I think the most rewarding part of being a dad is seeing my daughters complete a task that they didn’t think that they could and getting to celebrate them. Realizing that even though as a kid I didn’t have a dad that celebrated my difficult accomplishments; being able to see, encourage, and be a part of those moments is a great feeling.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
My father wasn’t that great at keeping his promises or even being present. This isn’t what drives me it just makes me wonder now that I am a dad how anyone could be that way towards their kids. I just want to be able to encourage, guide and love my kids to the fullest extent I can so that they will see and realize that dad has their backs…always!
How would you use the $25,000?
25k is a lot of money. This being a dad’s competition I would have to spend it on them. A portion of it would be placed into their 529 college plans and then we would go on vacation where they would want to go and let them spend a certain amount on their activities for “their day” which is one day of every vacation each kid gets to decide the activities for the day with the budget they and we save for throughout the year.
