When my kids want to spend time with me, and excell in something they've been working towards. When they say "I love you". And "thank you" with smiles on their faces. When I am able to teach something in love, and see the fruits of my labor. Almost every part of being a dad is rewarding!
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
Because in the end, I want my kids to look back on memories with me, and see that though I may not have been perfect, I never gave up on working on myself. That I sacrificed, worked, and ended unhealthy generational cycles all for them!
How would you use the $25,000?
I could use that in many different ways. But We were recently in a car accident where the other driver ran a red light. It totaled our family vehicle that we all could fit in. Being a foster and adoptive family, we have more people than the average family. The at fault drivers insurance is not giving us the money we will need to replace it, so I think we would put it towards that. And the rest towards a vacation for us all, to reset after the stress of all that car accident mess!
