There’s no greater reward than watching my kids take the conversations we’ve had and turn them into lessons they live by. Hearing them say and do smart things reassures me they’ll be okay on their own. Watching them grow through their choices, knowing I played a part, means everything. As a father, it’s incredible to see our talks and actions take root. They are an investment grown in love, sent into the world to do good.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
Of all the jobs I’ve had in life, being a father is the only one I think about 24/7. Everything I do affects my kids. They’ve truly saved me from myself. Every child deserves a loving, kind father, and I strive every day to be the best dad I can be. I don’t care how others see me. What matters is that my kids know who their father is, why his words matter, and how deeply they mean everything to me.
How would you use the $25,000?
I would put this toward paying down our household debt, with the goal of being in a stronger financial position within the next year. That would allow me to start putting more money into my children’s savings accounts and investing in their future.
