The most rewarding part about being a dad is watching my children grow into who God created them to be. Fatherhood has taught me patience, sacrifice, unconditional love, and what it truly means to lead by example. Every child has different needs, but being present for each of them and knowing God trusted me to be their father is one of the greatest blessings of my life.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
What drives me to be the best dad I can be is knowing that God entrusted me with incredible children. They are watching how I live, how I treat their mother, how I respond during difficult moments, and how I follow Christ. I know my example will help shape the people they become. Raising a medically complex child has especially taught me patience, compassion, advocacy, and unconditional love.
How would you use the $25,000?
If I won the $25,000, I would use it to create greater stability and accessibility for my family. As a father of four and a full-time caregiver to my medically complex son, Izaiah, I would put the money toward his medical and accessibility needs and our goal of providing a safe, accessible home for our family. I would also use a portion to create meaningful experiences for all four of my children. This money would be a blessing that gives our family greater security.
