Almost 20 years ago, my wife, Lindsey, and I were told we couldn't have biological children. Today, we continue to see God's plan unfolding through foster care and adoption. Earning the right to be called dad is an honor I don't take lightly. Whether a child is with us temporary or permanent through adoption, my goal is show up for them every day and love them unconditionally. Every child deserves the love of a dad and I'm glad I'm able to be there for them.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
The term and need of family has degraded so much over the years and too many children are being raised by entertainment sources and are losing the ability to know what love is meant to feel like. Loving someone that will love you back no matter what. That's what I want for not only my own children, but all children. Not measure their lovability by likes or social media, but by family that loves unconditionally.
How would you use the $25,000?
One of my adopted children is special needs and was a shaken baby. He's defied many odds but would love to have a back yard made for sensory and safety. Not only could he benefit from it, but several children that come into care could also benefit from it for enjoyment and therapy. I'd also look to repair various house projects that have been put on the backburner for too long. If funds remain, I'd love to build an outdoor entertainment area for our family to enjoy.
