Jeez, I can’t pick just one. It could be the “Daddy, can you play with me?” at 5 a.m., or the excited sprint from daycare when I pick her up. The rewards change as she grows, from getting a tiny smile as a newborn to cuddling up for a movie or hearing her laugh. But my favorite might be seeing my daughter and wife together, all of us having fun, and thinking, “Man, this is my family.”
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
Because being her dad is probably the most important job I’ll ever have. I want my daughter to grow up knowing her dad showed up, whether that’s riding our bikes to the park, cheering her on, teaching her something new, or just being there. I’ve also seen what it looks like when dads don’t fully show up, and it’s made me want to be better, not only for my daughter, but hopefully to show other dads how much of an impact we can have.
How would you use the $25,000?
I’d use the $25,000 to create more freedom and experiences for my family. A portion would go toward getting ahead financially, but I’d also want to use it to make memories with my wife and daughter that we’ll talk about for years. I’d also invest some into growing Viktory Fitness and my work with parents and kids. If being part of this can help me become a better dad while also helping other dads prioritize their health and families, that would mean a lot to me.
