Watching my daughter figure things out is the best part. That look she gives you when something clicks - like "yay i did it!!" - never gets old. Every tiny milestone feels massive because you know you helped her feel safe enough to try. And at two, she wants ME. Not because she has to. Because I'm her person. Earning that trust every day is the real reward of being her dad.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
Yelena's watching everything, even when it doesn't seem like it. The way I show up now becomes her blueprint for what love and safety look like. I don't want to just provide - I want her to feel truly seen. Every patient moment, every silly voice, every time I get down on her level, I'm building the version of me she'll remember. That's worth striving for every single day.
How would you use the $25,000?
I'd use it to finally start my own cleaning company the right way - real equipment, a reliable vehicle, proper licensing and insurance, instead of scraping by piece by piece. I want to build something that's actually mine, something that grows. And someday, I want to hand it to Yelena - not just a paycheck, but proof that her dad built something from nothing for her. That's the legacy I'm working toward: not just money, but something she can be proud of.
