The most rewarding part of being a dad is watching my kids flourish. My son faces SPG4, an ultra-rare neurodegenerative disease without a cure, yet his resilience shines as he embraces tech, Python, and editing—making my passions uniquely his. Guiding his growth is deeply enriching. Meanwhile, my 7-year-old daughter brings vibrant energy, lighting up over travel and new toys. She is fully her own person, with charming glimpses of me. Watching them both grow is my greatest joy and privilege.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best dad because my children are my greatest priority to guide and support. Whether mentoring my son through his tech pursuits or helping my daughter discover new activities and the wonder of travel, I cherish every milestone. I love celebrating wins, sharing jokes, and being silly. I want to create rich, joyful memories so that when they look back on their childhood, they always remember feeling loved and supported which will make them better humans with kindness and empathy.
How would you use the $25,000?
As a father, nothing matters more than finding a cure for my 14-year-old son, who lives with SPG4, an ultra-rare neurodegenerative disease with no known cure. We established our foundation to support scientists advancing life-changing gene therapy and therapeutic research. I will be proud to donate 100% of this $25,000 directly toward experimental research to bring us closer to a cure. I hope this inspires my kids to give back in whatever way they can, nurturing lifelong kindness and empathy.
