The most rewarding part of being a dad is watching my son grow into his own person and develop his unique personality and knowing that my love and my guidance helps him become that person. Knowing that I am a layer of safety to him and seeing the big ole smile when I get home from a long shift at work makes it more and more rewarding everyday. Also seeing my son hit milestones and me being there along the way and knowing I have the opportunity to help him through those.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best dad so my son can grow up with a loving and a supportive role model that he will be more than proud to learn from and look up to. My dad is my hero and I could only dream of my boy calling me his hero one day. I also want to be the best dad for my wife who puts in so much love and effort into the home and makes it so much easier during the long shifts and schoolwork.
How would you use the $25,000?
I would take care of some debts and start some saving for Oliver’s future. This would help me create a more secure future for my family. Winning this would relieve some financial stress for us as child care finances will not seem as tough and that would mean the world to be able to do that for my family. Becoming a dad has changed the way I view the world and assuring our family is secure and free of financial burden is important.
