The journey in & of itself is the most rewarding part about being a dad. I remember holding each of my little girls right after they were born like it was yesterday. I could barely see through all the tears in my eyes, but my heart was the fullest it’s ever been. Hearing their little voices say “Daddy” & “I love you” is the most incredible feeling. They might be little, but they give the biggest & warmest hugs. Watching them learn, grow, & become incredible young ladies is the ultimate blessing.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best dad I can be because it’s my duty & my calling. Nothing has ever felt more right & natural to me than being a dad. There’s no greater responsibility in life than loving, nurturing, teaching, & raising children to become good people. I always remind my girls that they are brave, smart, strong, kind, beautiful, & funny. I encourage them to use their voice & be confident in who they are. I want my girls to grow up & say their dad was always there for them no matter what.
How would you use the $25,000?
As a single dad, I truly do it all. From school drop-off/pick-up, dinner, baths, appointments, gymnastics, church, you name it. I balance two careers while making sure I never miss a single event & always make sure my girls’ feel seen, heard, & loved by their dad. I would use the $25,000 to invest towards my girls’ education & future, save for our next vacation, & pay down various debt that would allow for much needed breathing room in our budget.
