Just knowing that I had a part in creating two beautiful lives. I find myself just smiling when I look at them. It makes me proud when I see them act like me or do something I taught them. Watching them grow up makes me a little sad but also unbelievably happy. Honestly, everyday is rewarding just knowing I get to come home to them. It’s cliche to say but they’re my world and everyday I work hard to make their world a little better.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I do it because it’s my job. The moment my wife told me we were expecting was when I got the best job on earth, I get to be a dad; to be a father. My childhood wasn’t necessarily the best and didn’t have a dad growing up. I don’t have any memories of ever playing with my parents or taking fun trips. So I do my best every day to make sure they have those core memories and experiences. They deserve the best and it’s my job to make sure they get it.
How would you use the $25,000?
To buy a home. We unfortunately have been renting the last few years and moving around. I want my girls to have a forever home, somewhere we can build more memories together. I don’t want to have to pack up their rooms anymore. I do my best to put away money when I can but life has a way of keeping things interesting. However, if I don’t win the $25,000 that’s okay. Because I know with my work ethic that we will have our forever home one day.
