Watching Zach grow through things that once felt hard. I’ve seen what the right support, IEP meetings, appointments, practice at home and simply believing in him can do. Seeing him gain confidence at school, learn new things and feel proud of himself means everything to me. I love our adventures, but I also treasure the ordinary moments—meeting the bus, homework, swimming, car rides and bedtime. Those little moments are becoming the childhood memories he’ll carry with him.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
Because Zach only gets one childhood. I work hard to provide for him, but being his dad means much more than that. I advocate for him at school, attend IEP meetings and appointments, communicate with his teachers, help with homework and make sure he has every opportunity to succeed. Then I make time to just be Dad—swimming, exploring, laughing and making memories. I want him to grow up knowing that when he needed someone in his corner, Dad was always there
How would you use the $25,000?
I’d use it to give Zach more security, opportunity and time with his dad. I’d build our emergency savings, put money toward his future and use some for camps, activities and adventures together. I work early mornings and extra hours to provide for him. Having $25,000 set aside would mean less pressure to work overtime and more freedom to be there for school events, appointments, weekends and the everyday moments that make up his childhood.
