Well, I'm a single dad, and the most rewarding thing is watching the daily growth. There's nothing like watching your kid grow and adapt to life. Seeing them navigate and make decisions. Being able to mold a whole person using your own life experiences has to be one of the most important duties for a person, and seeing that individual make good choices, become a leader, and show compassion to others fills my heart with so much pride. Things that don't seem like much, collectively are EVERYTHING!
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
There's going to come a time when I'm no longer here. I've always thought about my role as a single father, and how important it is to use the information I possess as a male and kind of use the theory, that everything contains its opposite, to make sure I don't leave out the tenderness and nurturing spirit of a female. I'm trying to raise a respectable, loving young lady. Yin and yang. Strong, yet gentle. Assertive yet humble. A child is a direct representation of yourself for the world to see
How would you use the $25,000?
That would definitely help with my daughter's continued education, if that's the route she chooses. I started a nonprofit organization in my daughter's honor, the Vessel of Humanity and Compassion (www.BeBlessedByTheVessel.org). We've fed over 1 million free meals to children and homeless individuals. We've handed out over 1 million Christmas toys to done less fortunate families. We give away thousands of winter coats each year. School supplies and backpacks each year. We could expan our mission
