The most rewarding part is definitely when the kids actively choose to hang out with me in my element. There is absolutely nothing better than the moment they pull me away to play a few rounds of Mario Kart 64 or fire up NBA Jam on the arcade machine. Seeing them get competitive, laugh at the retro graphics, and genuinely want to share those 90s gaming memories with me makes everything worth it. It is the ultimate feeling to bridge the gap between my childhood and theirs.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
strive to be the best dad because I want to build a lasting bridge between my childhood and theirs, showing them that life is meant to be shared together. In a fast-moving world, I want our home to be a grounded sanctuary of joy, laughter, and authentic connection. Every day, I work to give my four kids a solid foundation built on presence, patience, and love. Ultimately, I do it to make their world a little more retro and a lot more fun, leaving them with memories they will always cherish.
How would you use the $25,000?
I would use the 25k to build a fully equipped, professional retro podcast and event space. The funds would go toward high-end multi-track audio gear, discrete track isolation interfaces, and multicam lighting setups. My goal is to build a collaborative community hub where other local creators can record their own shows, while also hosting unique neighborhood events like birthday parties and retro gaming nights. This prize would allow me to fulfill my mission to make the world a little more retro
