The most rewarding part is watching them finally feel safe enough to be themselves — no masks, just love. Seeing my two highly functioning, intelligent, autistic sons go from waiting to be seen to KNOWING they are seen, loved, and at home. When they stim freely, laugh loud, melt down without shame, and know Dad isn't going anywhere. Watching their brotherly bond grow stronger because they get to stay together. I didn't just give them a home — they gave me purpose.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
Because my boys deserve someone who won't give up on them. My two boys have been through so much change in their lives. They need a safe, steady home where they can just be themselves. I strive to be the best dad I can because I want them to know they are seen, heard, and deeply loved exactly as they are. To celebrate every small win, to hold them through hard moments, and to show them they will never have to face this world alone. They gave me the title of Dad. I want to earn it everyday.
How would you use the $25,000?
If blessed with $25k, I'd build on the safe, loving home we've already created for my two beautiful, high-functioning boys. $10,000 would seed their college and future fund plus extra tutoring, so they know their dreams are possible. $7,000 would give them joyful summer camps and social programs where they can be fully themselves and make friends. $8,000 would give us our first international trip, their first flight ever — just us three, making precious memories together.
