The most rewarding part of being a Dad, is also a difficult part. We teach our kids to fail and succeed on their own. It starts with pouring milk, then social challenges at school, riding bikes, math, behavior challenges. Then you blink, and they're rejoicing a win with their teammates, having sleepovers. They're growing. It's a rewarding part to see them grow, wanting to hold on, yet knowing it's part of letting them go so they can fly.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best Dad I can be, simply because I love my kids, and wife. We tried for over 20 years to have kids, and through the foster system, God led the 4 of us together. We don't share DNA, yet it's undeniable they are ours. My wife and I work together as a team, and as I tell them frequently, we work together as a family.
How would you use the $25,000?
My gut reaction is the same with the Super Bowl, we're going to Disney World!!! When I think about it, $10,000 will be invested in each of their college funds, that's$20k. $5,000 will go towards medical debt from the struggles we've gone through together lately.
