The most rewarding part about being a dad is teaching my kids and seeing the excitement and joy on their faces when they learn or accomplish something for the first time. But I also love how much I learn from them. As a girl dad to three, each of my girls teaches me something different. There’s something special about a kid’s honest, unfiltered view of the world. They remind me to enjoy the little things, laugh more, and appreciate the moments we have together.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best dad I can be because I know firsthand how important a father’s role is in a child’s life. My own experience with my dad growing up wasn’t always the best, and that has motivated me to give my girls something different. I want to be present, set a good example, and make sure they always know they are loved and supported. I want them to grow up knowing that no matter what happens, Dad will always be there for them.
How would you use the $25,000?
I would use the $25,000 to invest in my family. We just moved into our new home in early July, so some would go toward making it the perfect place for our girls to grow up including a new fence & playset. I’d also put some toward their future and education and use a portion for an unforgettable family trip. I believe experiences and time together are some of the greatest things I can give my girls, and I’d want this money to create memories that last a lifetime.
