Honestly, it’s watching them become their own little people. Seeing their personalities come out, watching them learn, mess up, try again, and figure things out. There’s nothing better than knowing that, in some small way, I get to help shape who they become. And then there are those little moments when they just want their dad. It’s a hug, a conversation, or to show me something they’re proud of. Those are the moments I’ll remember long after they’ve grown up.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
Because I know they won’t be little forever. I want my kids to grow up knowing without a doubt that their dad loved them, showed up for them, believed in them, and gave them everything he could. I’m not trying to be a perfect dad. I just want to be the kind of dad they look back on someday and say, “I was lucky to have him.”
How would you use the $25,000?
I’d use it in a way that creates memories for my family rather than just buying stuff. I’d put some toward a family trip, set some aside for my kids’ futures, and use the rest to do a few things for our family that we normally wouldn’t spend the money on. To me, $25,000 would be most valuable if it gave my kids experiences they’ll remember and also helped set them up for later in life.
