Honestly there are many reasons being a dad is rewarding, but my favorite is seeing my kids accomplish a difficult task and see them light up with energy. Watching them grow in each individual way presents unique challenges for them, but helping them develop the skills to overcome them and then watching them learn to do it on their own is just so awesome to witness. It's sad to see them grow in some ways, but seeing them become stronger allows me to feel like I'm a bigger part in their lives.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I dont think I'd strive so hard unless I had such a great example in my own dad. He struggled through a lot, but as a kid I never knew it because he made sure our experiences mattered more than his struggles. As a result I strive to ensure that no matter what difficulties I may be facing, if I work to put my family first, the other things have a tendency to work themselves out. I have never regretted the memories made because when the kids come running out to me after a hard day it's worth it
How would you use the $25,000?
I'm currently building a few rooms to our home as an addition. Our original home was a bit small and we realized after a few kids we were going to run out of room pretty quickly. I'm trying to afford it as I go, so the process has been a bit slow, but that extra $25,000 would be enough to finally finish it and give all our kids a room they can call their own. Plus a new laundry room for my wife and I will be an added bonus! There wouldn't be much left over, but maybe a steak dinner to celebrate
