Seeing my daughter happy, healthy, confident, after coming into this world with so much trauma. to witness her learning to use her voice for change. To see her stay connected to her mother through our nonprofit work. To engage the young generation and teach them to give back. Philanthropy is so much more than just writing checks. Traveling and showing her this big amazing world has been our most cherished memories. Teaching her that plan B often times is more fun than the original plan.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
Because i was raised by the best. If I can be 1/2 the man my father is i will have succeeded. Selfishly, i dream that when im old I will still share nightly dinners with her and other family. That we will always be together. Simultaneously giving her the confidence and security to let her pursue anything anywhere in the world that fulfills her. To have her choose a career that fulfills her in ways that a paycheck can’t. To make sure that no matter what she’s facing i’m always the firstcall
How would you use the $25,000?
In all honesty we are blessed to have a thriving restaurant that I own. I would you the money to bolster the @alexisjoyfoundation impact. To continue to advocate and try to reduce the stigmas surrounding mental health. To continue to break down the barriers to appropriate care in mental health. To try and save as many mothers and families as we can through the services we offer at the facility we have built at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. To shine a light on fatherhood.
