There are too many small rewards for 500 characters. I think the best of them all is when a story comes back to me about one of my kids doing the right things when they think nobody is looking or as if it's second-nature to them. That's the best reward as a dad. A close second is a random, tight hug.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I want my kids to know they always have a safe space to be in. A space where they can let their guard down, and not be judged. My children should stand out by how they present themselves. Not in a boisterous or bragging nature, but smart, reliable, and trustworthy. My son and oldest daughter are absolutely hilarious and can throw in one-liners with the best of them. They are also smart enough to know when they probably shouldn't make a joke.
How would you use the $25,000?
A healthy portion will go to a local non-profit called COURTSTRONG that helps ease the burden for families dealing with cancer. My oldest loves volleyball. I would love to add a sand volleyball court to our yard. In the summer, we all play volleyball together anyway, so it would be a perfect addition. The little one would also, then, have a really big sandbox to play in!
