Spending time with my boys and getting to know them as they become adults. They are both strong and independent young men and I see the influence of both my father and me in them. The best is when they find something they love and pursue it with passion and dedication. My oldest is in insurance sales by day and an EDM DJ by night, my youngest is an incredible guitar player and songwriter and started college on 9/8/26. Becoming their dad is the best gift I have ever received.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I believe that my job as a father is to raise my boys the best I can to teach them how to be respectful of others, work hard and play hard, and give back to the community. I believe a father can have a huge influence on the lives of their children by being a strong example of how to treat others, make good choices, and lead with kindness. I try to live up to the example my father set for me. He was a great dad and made time for me and my brother as we were growing up.
How would you use the $25,000?
During the pandemic I learned carpentry and woodworking. I completed several projects on my house - remodeled the kitchen, two bathrooms, raised the ceilings, and took out a wall. I made a secret bookshelf door where you pull on a book to open the door. I have one big project left - building a 440 sq. ft. tiny house in the back with everything hidden in the walls - bed, TV, desk, everything (60's batman TV). I would be able to finish that project and leave something special behind for my boys.
