The little things. Seeing their face light up when they are on stage and see you in the crowd cheering, hearing them say i love you as they drift off to sleep in my arms, showing them how to do something and watching them do it themselves. Hearing them repeat the moral lessons you taught them, to other people in their lives. Seeing them be good humans to other people. Seeing my phone light up with a call or text from one of them... These little moments create the stars in my nights sky.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best Dad that I can be, because my kids deserve it and because I want to be the stencil for other Fathers. Handling situations with grace, being love based, extending effort to help others when it doesn't benefit you, having your kids see these actions turn in to pillars of integrity for not only them, but for young Fathers coming up, future Fathers looking for a moral compass.
How would you use the $25,000?
I would put five thousand dollars a piece in each of my three daughters savings accounts. Currently I am house shopping for a home to buy where I can finally bring all my daughters over where they would have their own space. With the last ten thousand dollars I would use as cash towards buying a home. Our forever home.
