The most rewarding part is watching them develop in to people that have integrity, are hard working, and caring. It's important to me that my kids walk in love and kindness. I want them to represent our family name and our values, and when I see my son hold open a door for an elderly lady or my daughter stay after class and help clean up, or my 4 year old give someone a hug, I know they are on the that path. It fills my heart with hope.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
This may sound sad, but my dad passed away when I was 3 and I really wanted a family of my own. So my favorite thing is trying to be the best dad possible, the dad I missed and wanted when I was a kid. So my free time is spent with my kids doing what we all love! Working on our tree house, riding dirt bikes, participating in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, going tubing on our old boat. I want to create the memories I missed because life is short.
How would you use the $25,000?
First would be helping take care of my 4 year old daughters heart (she is scheduled for surgery this year to fix a hole in her heart). We want to make sure the surgery goes well and take care of any medical bills. Second would be replacing our old deck. I want to be able sit out and enjoy the space with our friends and family! We bought a beat up old house and slowly have been fixing it up, one step at a time!
