Watching my kids grow, overcome challenges, and seeing that sparkle in their eyes when they realize they can do something on their own. I love watching them discover who they are, their talents in music and art, their curiosity, and their love of learning. But some of my favorite moments are the simplest, waking up early, having my coffee, and hearing them run in to snuggle with me for ten more minutes before school.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I want to show my kids that being a great dad and chasing big dreams can go hand in hand. That you can be happy, healthy, dream as big and wild as you want, and still be fully present for the people you love. I hope that by living that example, they’ll grow up believing they can build amazing, adventurous lives filled with love and happiness.
How would you use the $25,000?
My kids and I recently moved into a home we absolutely love. It took a lot of courage and sacrifice to give them a comfortable, safe place to grow up. The $25,000 would help us finish our basement into an awesome space for them to play, create, and be kids during those cold Kansas City winters, plus a small home office where I can work on my documentaries while still being close to them.
