The most rewarding part of being a dad is realizing my kids see me as the person they can run to no matter what. When they reach for me, or lean into me without thinking, it hits me how much they trust me with their whole world. Watching them grow and knowing I’m the one they look to for safety, comfort, and love. That’s the part that gets me. Their trust and love is what keeps me going on the hardest days.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best dad because my kids are my whole world. Every smile, every moment they reach for me, every time they trust me with their fears or their excitement. It reminds me how much they depend on me. I want them to grow up knowing they were loved deeply, supported fully, and never had to question whether their dad was in their corner. They make me want to be better every day. I do better everyday because of them.
How would you use the $25,000?
If I had $25,000, I’d use it to finally breathe a little and give my kids the stability I’ve been fighting for. There are things around the house I’ve held together longer than I should because other needs came first. I’d fix what’s broken, make their space safer, and give them the comfort and security I couldn’t always afford growing up. I just want them to feel like their dad never stopped trying to build them a better life.
