The smiles and warm hugs I receive as encouragement. My kids spoil me by constantly writing me notes and drawing pictures of us doing fun activities. Though times are hard my kids are a constant reminder that I am loved and needed; watching them grow and develop is probably the most rewarding part of fatherhood. Listening to them tell stories of past experiences will have me in tears. They are my everything, I love being present and able to help them navigate the challenges of this world.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
My dad was amazing and I want to do more for my kids. I strive for my kids to have a solid, safe foundation, experience unconditional love and see two parents who love each other. My kids deserve the best version of me so I am constantly growing, evolving and setting the best examples for them. I am far from perfect but I’m not afraid to let them see me fail, reevaluate and continue on the path towards a bright and happy future. They deserve a happy, healthy and loving dad; I strive to be that!
How would you use the $25,000?
I would invest heavily in their future! Starting college funds, setting aside funds for their current activities (basketball, baseball, cheer, chess). My kids love to experience new exciting things - a portion would be set aside for family road trips and other fun outdoor adventures. I would use some funds to establish a family garden and with the help of the kids build fun things around the house. We are a simple family so we would stretch it as far as we can but the kids will benefit the most!
