The most rewarding part of being a dad is watching my kids grow and develop into their own unique people. Every stage brings something new, from learning simple skills to discovering their own interests, personalities, and sense of humor. Seeing the world through their eyes reminds me to appreciate the little things that are easy to overlook as an adult. Nothing compares to seeing the joy on their faces when they accomplish something they've worked hard for, or experience something new.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best dad I can be because fathers have a tremendous impact on their children's lives. Research consistently shows that children with engaged fathers are more likely to perform well in school, graduate, develop strong self-confidence, and build healthy relationships. They are also less likely to engage in delinquent behavior, substance abuse, or other high risk activities. Beyond measurable success, children with involved fathers often report greater happiness later in life.
How would you use the $25,000?
If I had $25,000 to invest in my children's future, I would focus on creating opportunities that provide both financial security and life lessons. I would establish UTMA accounts to give them a foundation for future expenses and teach them about saving and investing. If they had legitimate earned income, I would contribute to Minor Roth IRAs to take advantage of decades of tax-free growth and help them understand the value of long-term investing early in life. I would also create a LLC for them.
