The most rewarding part of being a dad is getting to experience the world through my kids’ eyes. I love being involved in whatever they’re passionate about—from Pokémon and chess to sports, Sesame Street, and everything in between. Watching them discover what they love, celebrating their wins, and being there when things don’t go their way is incredibly rewarding. More than anything, I hope they always know that Dad will be there, cheering them on every step of the way.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best dad I can be because my kids are watching, learning, and growing from the example I set. I want them to know they are loved, supported, and encouraged to be themselves. Whether I’m coaching them through sports, playing Pokémon, learning chess, or simply being there for the everyday moments, I want to be the dad they can always count on. Being a dad is the most important role I’ll ever have.
How would you use the $25,000?
I would use the $25,000 to give my family something even more valuable than money: time. As a teacher working four jobs, and possibly adding another, I’m constantly balancing work with being a dad. From delivering pizzas to vending for the Texas Rangers and boarding dogs, I work hard to provide for my family. This money would allow me to pull back from some of those jobs and spend more time doing what matters most—being present with my kids.
