The most rewarding part about being a dad is just spending time with my little girl, Sadie my lady. She’s nine months old and crawling everywhere, laughing, smiling, and starting to communicate. Nothing beats coming home from work and seeing her smile. I love holding her, having her climb all over me and playfully slap my chest, grab at my face, or when she lets out a little scream and I scream right back at her. It’s hard to put into words how much I love that little girl.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best dad I can be because my daughter deserves the best version of me. I want to be a man she can always look up to, trust, and know will be there for her. Most importantly, I want my walk with God to set an example that helps lead her down the right path. She’s only nine months old, and right now all she really wants is my presence. I know these days won’t last forever, so I want to soak them in, be present, and build a relationship with her that lasts a lifetime.
How would you use the $25,000?
My wife and I bought a 1,000 sq. ft. starter home and renovated the entire interior ourselves. It turned out pretty cozy, and I’d love to do the same with the outside. I’d use the $25,000 to put in a patio where we can spend time together as a family and install underground sprinkling so we can finally keep our grass alive! As our daughter grows up, I’d love to give her a yard where she can run, play, and make memories. The remainder would likely go towards her future education.
