It’s difficult to word how rewarding being a father really is. Teaching him, watching him learn, seeing his face light up with every new thing, I have never experienced anything like it. He’s made me notice all the stuff I used to miss or not appreciate.The small moments, the little details in life that make me feel grounded. Im most grateful for my son’s impact on my life view, he has shown me to appreciate every moment even when times can be hard.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best dad because my son is watching and learning from me. Every move I make, every choice I make, every way I show up, he’s taking it all in. I want to be someone he’s proud of, someone he can lean on, someone he wants to be like. He deserves a dad who gives it everything, who’s present, who shows him what it means to care. He never has to guess who will be there for him.
How would you use the $25,000?
First on my list would be to take a family trip. I have been wanting to take my son to some of the scientific museums we have in Ohio- like COSI or Boonshoft. They have tons of interactive exhibits for him to take in. I would also allocate money into a 529 education savings account. I want him to have the freedom to go to college, or learn a trade. The remaining amount I’m saving that for his future siblings! My wife and I plan to grow our family even further and this money would allow us to!
