Seeing my children genuinely enjoy life and knowing I get to be a part of those memories. Growing up, I was blessed with a father who worked incredibly hard, often taking on side jobs just so he could give us things like a four-wheeler or a snowmobile and, more importantly, experiences we would never forget. Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I want to give my children everything they need in life, and then some; while preparing them for their own future. Just as my parents did for me, I’m teaching them that hard work pays off. Whether it’s saving for college, earning money toward their first vehicle, or learning that discipline, integrity and honesty matter, I want to give them the work ethic and drive to always strive for more. They’re the reason I work as hard as I do every day.
How would you use the $25,000?
I’d put $7,000 into a 529 plan for each of my children to invest in their future. I’d give $5,000 to my friend Danny and his family. Danny owns a repair business and is currently battling a brain tumor, undergoing multiple surgeries without insurance. I’ve been helping him where I can and picking up repair jobs when I can while he’s hospitalized. The remaining $6,000 would go toward a family vacation, giving my kids an experience and memories we can share together.
