The most rewarding part is watching my boys grow into themselves, their personalities come out, their confidence build, and seeing them become their own people. More than anything, it’s knowing they feel safe, protected, and loved with me. Being the dad they know they can always count on means everything. And the random hugs and “I love you, Dad” moments make all the hard days worth it.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
Because my boys deserve it. They deserve someone firmly in their corner who shows up, protects them, believes in them, and makes sure they never question whether they’re loved. I didn’t always have that growing up, and I know what it’s like to figure things out the hard way. I can’t protect them from every struggle, but I can make sure they never have to face one alone.
How would you use the $25,000?
I’d put it toward buying our first home. I want my boys to have a stable place to grow up, a home we can make our own without wondering when we’ll have to move again.More than that, I want to build something that lasts beyond me.A home would be the start of building generational wealth and giving my boys something I didn’t have, a foundation they can build on and one day pass down themselves.
