Being a dad comes with lots of rewarding things, but the most rewarding to me is the moments of happiness and appreciation that I receive from my kids. There is nothing better than going out to the lake, on a hike, or on an adventure somewhere with the kids, then afterwards hearing them say things like "You are so cool" and "You're the best dad ever." Sometimes for even the simplest of things.. My daughter says that food is best when made by me, because she says I cook with love.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best dad I can be because I had a rough childhood and did not have much growing up. So I strive to give my kids everything that I was never able to have. And to make sure that they always have the Love, Positive Influence, and Attention that they need so they never have to go through any of the struggles that I did through my youth and as a kid.
How would you use the $25,000?
I have a few small debts and bills that I would take care of first. Some of it would be used to to get my vehicle into better condition, and "road trip" ready. Or a down payment for a newer safer car. Some would be put away into savings for emergencies. And last, I would plan a much needed vacation. Something like a Winter trip to somewhere in the mountains, or a summer trip to a beach. Somewhere the kids and I could ski or surf, learn new things, and see new places.
