I think the most rewarding part of being a dad is passing on the lessons and skills that my father taught me. My father did a lot of things right, and there were some things he could have improved on. I love instilling my family values in my children while also improving on how my father raised me.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best dad I can be because my father did the same for me, and now that I’ma father of two I see how important it is for children to have the best role model they possibly can. It’s so easy for children, especially young men, to lose their way and make decisions that hurt other people. I’ve seen it happen time and time again and I have committed my life to raising respectful, protective children.
How would you use the $25,000?
It would use the $25,000 to pay off car, credit card, and student loan debt. The monthly payments have completely shoe-strung our ability to maintain a savings account and financially plan for our children’s futures. The money would give my wife and I the ability to start a fresh financial journey after both losing our jobs at approximately the same time.
