The most rewarding part of being a dad isn’t always the easy moments, it’s being present through the challenging ones. Our children grow up so fast, and the moments that feel stressful today may be the ones we someday miss. At the same time, we learn so much from them, their childlike faith, fearlessness, and curiosity. We grow right alongside them. We are offered another opportunity to be young again! Watching them learn through failure and creating safety for them to make mistakes… PRICELESS
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best dad I can be, not because I have to, but because it’s my obligation, my passion, and my assignment. Every day is an opportunity to grow, break negative generational patterns, and plant seeds for the future. There’s something powerful about shaping a life that may one day help shape the world. Fatherhood is bigger than me. Every time I look into my daughter’s eyes, I see myself, legacy, my lineage, and the future. I see the responsibility of shaping a future leader.
How would you use the $25,000?
I’d start with my daughter’s dream bedroom! A safe, beautiful space where she can feel like the princess she is. Together we will launch a nonprofit org in her name, that she will be in charge of throughout formative years and adulthood, teaching her that giving back matters. I’d take her on a trip to experience how vast and beautiful the world is. I’d pay down my student loan, freeing monthly income to save toward our own home within the next few years building equity for her future.
