The most rewarding part of being a dad is watching my kids grow, learn, and become their own little people. After working 10+ hour shifts at the refinery, I could be exhausted, but seeing their smiles makes it all worth it. Whether we’re running together, going to the park, watching movies, playing pretend, or building something together, I cherish every moment. Knowing they feel loved, supported, and know their dad will always make time for them means everything to me.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best dad I can be because my kids deserve the very best of me. I want them to grow up knowing they are loved, supported, and never alone. I work hard to provide for my family, but I also want my kids to know that providing isn't just about a paycheck—it's about being present, making memories, teaching them, and enjoying the little moments. I want to be the dad they can always look up to and know will always be there for them.
How would you use the $25,000?
I would use the $25,000 to make a lasting difference for my family. First, I would pay down our debt and create more financial breathing room. I would then invest in the home daycare business my wife and I run, helping us grow something that supports our family and our community. With what remains, I’d put it toward a reliable newer truck to replace my 2005 TrailBlazer. It would be an investment in both our family’s future and our ability to provide for our kids.
