For me, it’s the daily impact that me and the kids share from my presence. Teaching them about life, early finance learning. Getting to see them everyday getting to be in the household with them is everything to me. Every morning I wake up grateful to be a father, husband, coach. I make a daily impact in all the kids life from my organization to the homefront.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I didn’t have my father growing up. He would call and send support but having him in the house was something I did not get to experience at any point in my life growing up. He moved back to California in 97, a lot of my relationship with him was over a phone. I knew him but I didn’t get to start knowing my father until I was 17 years old. That’s about the time in my life where my mom couldn’t handle me anymore. So my childhood and what I went through pushes me daily.
How would you use the $25,000?
I would catch up on bills, get my wife a new car. Take my kids shopping they have been very patient with my financial hardships I faced. Also I would put the rest up and create and emergency fund. So in the event of short comings my family will always be covered.
