Being able to see my Kids grow through the different stages of life. From learning how to walk and talk to them being able to provide for themselves. The confidence they have to try new things but still willing to ask for help if needed. Seeing my children grow into their own person, and not trying to be like anyone else shows me they are independent.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
When people ask where I get my work ethic, strength, humor, and determination, I tell them I was raised by four great men—my stepfather and three uncles. I never wanted my children to wonder, as I sometimes did, who they could look up to. I work hard so my kids can see what dedication can accomplish. At 42, I’m already retired, serve my community, and strive every day to be an example they can be proud of.
How would you use the $25,000?
With $25,000, I’d invest half in building long-term wealth for my family and future generations. Growing up in a low-income household, I know what it means to rely on assistance, and I want my children and grandchildren to have greater opportunities. With the other half, I’d create lasting memories by taking my family on an unforgettable vacation—most likely an Alaskan or Mediterranean cruise.
