Watching her grow and experience the world in her own beautiful way. I'll never forget her handing me a picture she'd drawn, with "I love you Daddy" written on it, and asking me to hang it in my toolbox at work. Now, every time I open it, I'm reminded of the little girl waiting at home. Her world comes with unique challenges, but my greatest accomplishment isn't what I build with my hands. It's being her safe place, celebrating every milestone, and building a lifetime of memories together.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
My daughter deserves a father who shows up, no matter what. The Army taught me discipline, sacrifice, and commitment, but fatherhood taught me what truly matters. Autism meand he experiences the world differently, and I want to be her biggest supporter, her safe place, and the person who helps her overcome every obstacle. I work hard to give my family a good life, but more than anything, I want my daughter to look back on her childhood and remember a dad who was always there and always will be.
How would you use the $25,000?
I'd use the $25,000 to give my family something priceless: more time together. I'd be able to take more time off to support her unique needs, create unforgettable childhood memories, and build a shop where we can tinker together, rebuilding her great-grandpa's old Army Jeep. As an Army veteran myself, sharing that piece of family history with her would mean the world. More than anything, I want to give her a childhood filled with adventure, love, and a daddy who's there for every moment.
