The most rewarding part about being a dad is even after work 16, 17, 18 hour days I get to come home and see my family and spend time with them. The fact that I am truly blessed to have what I have is amazing. Being a parent is a challenge but is also a privilege. There’s no better job in the world than being able to raise children and teach them how to love and respect one another in this world. I never beat myself up over the mistakes I make. Instead, I learn from them and keep on going.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best Dad I can be because I see way too many children that don’t get to grow up with a father figure and it weighs heavily on their mental health. Without this key part in your life, it can be very traumatic in terms of respect, motivation and having guidance. I will always strive to be the best Dad because i know that I will never fail them if I keep striving and putting my family first over everything else. My father was an incredible man who always put his family first.
How would you use the $25,000?
I would use the $25,000 to pay off the remainder of my medical debt from an emergency surgery I had several years ago due to an accident. I would put money into a college fund for my child and future children. I would take my family on a vacation. Lastly, I would donate money to my department fundraiser for children at Christmas time. Last year, I raised over $700 for a less fortunate child and took them shopping for things they needed and wanted. I’d like to keep that tradition every year.
