Seeing how safe my sons feel in our home and how connected we are. Emotional connection doesn't happen by accident. It takes intentionality to be both Nacho Libre wrestling them on the mat but also an active listener during bedtime prayers. It builds safety and models holistic health by example. Also, who doesn't love feeling like your kid thinks you're a superhero?! Fatherhood is the best and I'm so thankful for the family God's given me.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I think it models the Gift of our heavenly Father and what it means to have a loving environment no matter what. Arms open for hugs even after a hard talk or correction. A buddy to ride bikes with after a long day at school. It's the best role I could ever ask for and I know my three sons will carry that on to their children if I do my best. It lays a foundation for their future families and our community.
How would you use the $25,000?
I would put it towards a down payment on our first home! With Ace Hardware, I hope to turn a house into our forever home so my kids can finally start making memories that we will never move away from. We moved close to a church community we love and hope to buy near them and keep our kids engaged in their community. This is our current big goal!! To buy our first home in 2027!
