The most rewarding part of being a dad to my beautiful daughter is that I get to influence and shape the lens in which she views the world. I’m raising her with Love. Real health Love. Its beautiful to watch her grow and navigate life at 7 years old. She gets to live a life where she can actually Dream without limitations. I love the fact that generational cycle has been broken. There is no feeling like it. I pray our bond remains this Close even as she grows into adulthood.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
Honestly, children did not ask to be here. It is our responsibility as parents to do right by them. I’m very fortunate as a mental health clinician to be privy to the results of humans who grow up with a lack of healthy parental influence or a lack of nuturing. I will never do that to by daughter. She deserves the best. I break my back daily to give her the best in life, but also model a healthy example of a father and human. One day she will grow up and experience real life.
How would you use the $25,000?
I have always wanted to start my own Mental health facility program. It’s indeed my calling. I have a passion to help others. I also have a passion project called Melaninated Fathers. It was a bussiness I launched when my daughter was baking in the oven. She is really my WHY. I have a fashion line and documentary that I will like to put out but I lack funding. This will be essential for me to launch my bussiness. I will also take my Lil one on a trip. She loves to travel.
