The most rewarding part of being a dad is teaching my kids how to learn, try new things, and work through challenges on their own. I love watching them struggle, get frustrated, keep trying, and then seeing that moment when everything finally clicks. I taught my oldest how to ride a bike, and now he can teach those same techniques to his younger brother. Knowing I’m giving them the tools to someday not need my help is incredibly rewarding.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best dad I can be because I lost my dad when I was just one year old. Growing up with only one parent was difficult for my family, and I know what it feels like to miss out on that relationship. I want to give my boys the childhood, support, and father-son bond that I didn’t get to experience. I want them to always know how much they’re loved and that I’ll be there for them.
How would you use the $25,000?
Winning the $25,000 would be about giving my boys opportunities. I’d set the money aside for them to use as they grow—whether it’s a school trip, trying a new sport, music lessons, or learning a new skill. Most importantly, I’d love knowing that when an opportunity comes along, I don’t always have to say “no” because of the financial burden. I want to give them the freedom to explore, learn, and grow.
