The most rewarding part of being a dad is watching my kids succeed. I love watching them take on a new task, sport, or hobby and seeing them become great at it through hard work and practice. Seeing the excitement on their faces when they finally accomplish something they’ve worked for is hard to beat. And honestly, nothing compares to hearing one of my kids randomly tell me, “I love you, Dad.” Those little moments are what make being a dad so rewarding.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best dad I can be because I want my kids to know I will always be there for them. I want to teach them to work hard, learn from mistakes and never give up. I also want them to grow closer to God and live out their faith. My hope is that they become good people who are a light in the world and make a difference in others’ lives.
How would you use the $25,000?
I would use the $25,000 to fix up our home and make it a better place for my family. Our home is in pretty rough shape and needs quite a bit of updating. I would use the money to tackle some of those projects that we’ve had to put off, as well as buy some new tools and equipment to take better care of our yard and home. To me, that money wouldn’t just be a prize. It would be an opportunity to give my wife and kids a home that is safer, nicer and something our whole family can be proud of.
