It’s seeing my son develop into his own person, grow into his own personality, with his unique characteristics, likes and dislikes, while still telling me he wants to be like daddy. I love seeing the values I instill in him come out, while figuring out this thing called life together.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
My son didn’t ask to come into this life. His mom and I brought him here and with that, I owe everything to him. Life gets tough, so I’ll make sure I can do everything in my power to best prepare him for what the world is going to throw at him. I won’t always be around but my goal is to give him the tools to be the kind of man who will take life by the horns and run the show!
How would you use the $25,000?
First and foremost, putting a ton of it away into the college fund I’ve already started for my son. I’d also like to help my local VFW build out their facility, as it’s one of the few spots near me that veterans have to meet up and tell old school war stories. After that, I’ll spoil myself with added guac to a chipotle burrito.
