Watching my kids grow, learn, and apply the things I teach them. When I see them using a skill or even a word that I taught them it just warms my heart. Especially knowing that thing will carry on with them for the rest of their lives and they can pass it along.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I do it so my kids can have a better childhood than I did. I do it so they can see how to be a positive force in a world that seems to focus on the negative. I do it for me, to give my life a purpose.
How would you use the $25,000?
I'm a fan of the rule of thirds. So 1/3 would be donated to the Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep charity in honor of our first son Finley. We would save 1/3. And the last 1/3 would go towards fixing things around the house like the hot water heater, roof, and the one and only bathroom.
