The most rewarding part is watching my kids grow into who they’re meant to be and knowing I had a small part in helping them get there. From moving them off to college, watching them compete, coaching them, or just being there for the everyday moments, nothing means more to me. At the end of the day, I just want them to always know Dad showed up, loved them unconditionally, and was always in their corner for every win, but more importantly, every hard loss.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best dad I can be because raising good human beings matters more to me than anything I could ever accomplish personally. I want to teach my kids what character, faith, hard work, kindness, loyalty, and perseverance look like through my actions, not just my words. My greatest responsibility is preparing them for a life, whether that's on or off the field, to where they’re confident in who they are and become people who make this world a little better.
How would you use the $25,000?
I’d use the $25,000 to invest in my kids’ futures. With two sons starting their college journeys, and scholarships not covering a 100%, plus two younger kids still at home, there’s no shortage of tuition, books, travel, sports, and everyday expenses. I’d put some toward college costs, save some for the younger two, and use a little to create a family experience we’ll remember long after the money is gone. Winning would be about giving back to the four people who gave me the greatest title “Dad.”
