Honestly, the most rewarding part is seeing my kids genuinely happy and knowing I’m creating memories they’ll carry with them. Being the fun dad means getting to laugh, play, be a little goofy, and remind them that life is meant to be enjoyed. Also it’s fun to show them my work. I’m a custom home builder now and I love teaching them carpentry.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
Even though I had a great life and a great childhood, I still want to give my kids an even better life than I had. I think every dad’s goal should be to raise their children to be better than themselves—to give them more love, more opportunities, more confidence, and every chance to go further than we did. I want to be the dad who shows up, leads by example, creates incredible memories, and gives my kids a foundation they can build an amazing life on.
How would you use the $25,000?
If I had $25K, I’d use it to help my family now and later. I’d put some into college funds for my kids so they’ve got a head start. I’d also set some aside for a family trip—nothing crazy, just time together making memories. The rest I’d save or invest for whatever comes up in life. At the end of the day, it’s not about the money—it’s about using it to give my kids more security, more experiences, and a dad who’s always thinking about their future.
